Austin and CMRN recorded this one impossibly early, and so Michael isn't there to stop them from doing what they want. They're special, and they want to talk about Swamp Thing. They want to talk about how the scientist comes in blastin! The movie is good.

This month we're going back to the old times, the real old times, the time when prison was the best thing that could happen to you but also the worst most evil thing that could happen to you and both of those things were true. A time of noble folks and silly men with slicked back hair trying to just work the line. We watched this TNT classic.

Remember, remember the fifth of November, the line that CMRN forgot was even in the comic book. This information and more is found in this wondrous, most violent, most delightful podcast about the comic book film that rules above all other comic book films. A vociferous, vengeful, volatile vestment of whatever the hell ever you want it to be. We talk about the V for Vendetta film.

We're going way back yonder again, but not so far back yonder that people have to remember how to be farmers. Instead, this time, we have to go back to when food and drink tasted good. Before the world moved on. Or whatever. Hey, is this morally objectionable guy going to save JFK or not? I mean damn.

You ever have an experience where you're rocketing down the road and fly off into the woods and then have to get revenge on doctors many years later through various Saw traps? That happened to Dr. Phibes. Maybe the Saw movies should have been called Phibes. You ever think about that? This movie is great.

Way back yonder, when good bad boys knew how to be farmers, there was a guy. His name was Tom Jane, and he learned an accent harder than anyone ever has. He had a dastardly relationship with a series of rats and holes in his roof. This movie is pretty good, and it has all the hallmarks of a Good King Adaptation! Praise be!

We got out of our bunkers (and into your car?) to answer questions about what happens after the end of the world. We do NOT talk about rock and roll music. We do talk about a Tomei matchup to end all Tomei matchups, and we ponder the genre questions.

Big Jim Rennie's thinkin' about the dome, and you should be too, because we're all trapped under the dome together. And we've got secrets. This is somehow both one of the best and worst adaptations we have seen on this show, and neither of us really know what to do about that. The one thing we do know is this: Junior's bad. We wandered over to the grand ole New York City to see what was happening in the postapocalypse, and wouldn't you know it: there's hunks there! And there's also creatures that come right outta the ground and get ya. In this month's episode on Escape From New York, we learn a little bit about the power of friendship and also how important it is to read the mine map cor...

We're a few days into a new month, which MUST mean it is time for the Ranged Touch monthly newsletter! Tip back your hat and sit a spell while I get to work rounding up all the mischievous little podcasts we've unleashed upon the plains of the internet this past May.

Just a heads up that Danni's audio in this one is pretty bad. We tried to clean it up as best we could, but there were some recording issues that we only caught after the fact. That doesn't stop this from being nearly two hours of rip-roaring conversation about war games, TTRPGs, and what it means to own a 3D printer and hit yourself with the toxic chemicals on accident.

We took a little trip out to the postapocalypse to see what we could learn and all we came back with are some style tips. Be careful where you're standing if you're wearing assless chaps. If you're wearing a helmet, you need the accompanying medals for your chest. The biggest the hair, the more likely you are to live in a hole in the ground. Anyway, we watched The Road Warrior.

The Monkey is a meditation on the power of monkeys that assail Adam Scott. It is a prime source for thinking about weird stuff in the world. I, for one, do not think the monkey is real. Anyway we watched The Monkey and we had a lot of stuff to say about it. Learn more on the bonus episode post.

The Bag of Bones tv movie, directed by Mick Garris, is not good -- to this we can all agree. It is precisely how it is bad, and the quality of that badness, that distinguishes it from all other adaptations, and indeed, all other forms of visual media auditory and not.

We learned about how to do a hack in the truly underrated 1992 film Sneakers. Sure, in this episode we get into a severe disagreement about how good a different movie is. And sure, also, since I am writing this I get to assert that Austin is wrong. But Sneakers is great, and we agree that this hacker heist film has "got the stuff" in a way that basically no movie made about the year 2008 does. Movies!
